Lester N. Meyle

Lester Norman Meyle, of Pine Bush, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday January 14, 2024 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 67. The son of the late Norman Meyle and Carole Straub Meyle, he was born on December 5, 1956 in New York City. Lester served more than 30 years at the Eastern Correctional Facility. He enjoyed his many hobbies including camping with friends and family, attending car shows with his 72’ Mustang, and cooking gourmet meals for his family. Lester was an avid New York Jets fan who never missed a game. He played the drums and recently discovered a passion for Karaoke . He loved being behind the camera but photos shine more when he is in them. He had an infectious laugh and a warm and loving personality. Lester was a devoted husband and loving father. He loved the outdoors and took pride in his home and yard. He was a member of the Shawangunk Reformed Church as well as a past member of the Shawangunk Snowmobile and Rescue Club and the Shawangunk Valley Fire Company. Lester is survived by his wife, Mary Van Keuren Meyle; his children, Julie, Justin, and Jessica; brothers Peter and Walter; sister Diane Van Leuvan and her husband Bill; sister-in-law Lisa Reuss and her husband John; brother-in-law Michael Van Keuren; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends are invited to attend Lester’s celebration of life on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the William M.
