Jessica Callan

On Wednesday March 27th, a beloved mother and grandmother, Jessica Callan, passed away at the age of 74. The daughter of the late Stanley and Rose Self, she was born on December 20 1949 in Brooklyn, NY. Jessica was one of five children. Older sister Roberta (deceased), two younger sisters Alice and June, and a younger brother Stanley Jr. After high school she married Edward G. Callan and had three children Kimberly, Edward S, and Kevin. She spent much of her time with them at their school activities and taking them to little league. She became a second mother to many of their friends as they all played outside in the backyard. Jessica loved to read mystery novels, solving crossword puzzles, and knitting blankets. Some of her favorite hobbies were making baby blankets for new arrivals, and warm winter ones. Her face was always bright around her grandson, Thomas. They spent lots of time at the movies and going to amusement parks. Sesame Place was the top of the list. For a woman who did not like to be in the water she loved to be around it especially going on cruises.
