Frederick R. Williams, a lifelong resident of the area having lived in Middletown for the last 57 years , passed away on May 14, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown NY. He was 79. The son of the late Steve Williams and Frances MacNear, he was born in Newburgh, NY on September 28, 1944.  Fred was retired and enjoyed his time traveling when he could and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and took great pride in all of his children and grandchildren.  He was a member of Scotchtown Cemetery Association as well as The Cornwall, New Windsor, and Monroe Horse Thief Detection Society. Survivors include, his beloved wife Connie Williams, his loving children, Dave Williams, Brenda Heinen and her husband Jeff Cramer, and Brandy Heft and her husband John Heft, loving grandchildren, John, Luke and Mark Heft, Zach and Sully Heinen and Connor, Evan and Jacey Cramer, and long time family friend Sydney Bayer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 21,2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm  at William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd. Pine Bush, NY.  Services will be held at the funeral home at on Wednesday May 22,2024 at 10:00am with Pastor Howard Dalton officiating. Burial will follow at Scotchtown Cemetery in Middletown, NY.
