Obituary of Bronislawa Gacek

Bronislawa (Bernice) Gacek of Pine Bush, a homemaker and a longtime area resident, died Friday, October 8, 2004 at Westchester County Medical Center,Valhalla. She was 81. The daughter of Wojciech Weglarz and Rosalia Trybula Weglarz, she was born in Poland. Bernice was a nurse in the Polish Army and was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church. On September 29, 2004 Mr and Mrs. Gacek celebrated their "60th" wedding anniversary. Survivors include her husband, Franciszek(Frank) Gacek, at home; her children, Barbara Zolnowski and her husband, Michael, of the hamlet of Wallkill, Lech Gacek and his wife, Daniela, of Morrison Colo., Elizabeth Gacek of Flushing, Christine Pytinski and her husband, Andrzej, of Brooklyn, Anne Gacek of Pine Bush, and John Gacek and his wife Julie, of Wheatley Heights; grandchildren, Peter, Philip and wife Danielle, Grace and husband Mark, Paul, Michael, Alexander and wife Agnieszka, Francis, and Matthew; one great granddaughter, Anika; sisters, Frances Sokolowska of Georgia, Anna Kogut of Poland, Stasia Weglarz of England; sister-in-law, Czecia Weglarz of Mass.; and brother-in-law Eliasz Sobotnik of Pine Bush. Visitation will be on Monday, October 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, Inc., 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Bullville. Father Patrick McGuigan, O. Carm. will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pa.
