Nancy Renee Horton Hufcut, of Circleville NY passed away on August 23, 2024, at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown NY. She was 56. Nancy was born in Monticello, NY to Benjamin and Patricia Horton of Bloomingburg NY on August 14, 1968.  She grew up on the Horton Farm, and attended Pine Bush High School, graduating in 1986.  On September 4, 1988, she married  Michael Hufcut. Nancy and Michael moved to Circleville to start and raise their family. Nancy worked as a Medical Receptionist for Christine Quinlan FNP at Middletown Medical Circleville office.  She was an active Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Circleville Fire Department, and for many years she was involved with 4-H, attending many fairs and cattle shows with her children.  Her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her husband Michael; her daughter Kelle Hufcut of Circleville, her grandchildren Damion and Autumn Hufcut, whom she loved with all her heart.  She is also survived by her mother, Patricia Horton of Wurtsboro, mother-in-law Linda (Gene) Myers of Circleville, siblings Diana (Steve) Duffy of Callicoon, Benjamin (Shannon) Horton of Roanoke VA, and James (Julie) Horton of Ringgold Ga.,  her favorite cat Peanut, along with the countless family and friends who she loved and laughed with. Nancy was reunited in death with her father Benjamin Horton, her sister Denise Brouillard and her son Michael Hufcut.  A celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held  at the pavilion in Circleville Park, Circleville NY on September 14, 2024, at 12:00pm. Dignified cremation will be handled by William M. Gagan Funeral Home, Pine Bush NY. Private Interment will be at the Horton Family Plot in the Bloomingburg Cemetery. The family request NO flowers please but that memorial donation be sent to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Circleville Fire Dept. 2147 Route 302 Circleville NY 10919.
