Aunt Josse was like an extra grandmother to me when I lived in the United States. It was so good to know that I had her and Uncle Per, I could come to be with family. We had many good times together when I visited them in Brooklyn. Aunt Josse and I were often out shopping and visiting a cafe. When I traveled back to Norway, we kept in touch. When I had my own family, it became a tradition that every Christmas she received a Christmas card with a picture of my two children. Something she appreciated. You will be missed Aunt Josse. Peace to your memory.

What a great mother you were to raise such wonderful, kind and caring daughters like my dear friend Grace and her sister Wencke. We will miss but forever cherish your beautiful, upbeat facebook posts of flowers, paintings, wildlife and your ever present invitations to have coffee and delicious doughnuts. Enjoy your stroll in the heavenly gardens. RIP Josse

My message is a tribute for Mary. I did not have the honor of knowing her but she was obviously a resilient, loving and talented woman.
Her legacy lives on in her daughter so aptly named, Grace whom I am Blessed to know.
Grace is filled with God's Grace which she shares with friends and family.
My condolences and prayers for the whole family.

Josse was such a special lady. She was loved and admired by everyone who knew her. She opened her heart to those around her, and made everyone feel loved and special. I will treasure our friendship, and she will always have a special place in my heart.
She was a talented artist, and I am grateful that she had blessed me with one of her beautiful winter scenes, one of my favorites! She truly makes my heart smile.

I had a special place in my heart for your mother, though I don't believe we ever met. Our husbands were both pastors in the Lutheran Brethren, and we shared friends from her Brooklyn days. However, her nearly daily posts on Facebook put a smile on my face, always. Her love of all things beautiful, and her joy in life and in her Savior were an inspiration. I will miss her, but look forward to meeting on the other side. Thank You, Jesus!

When my mom passed I found a letter Josse had written to her that they were related I had met Pastor Per at 59 st he was so kind to my daughter and my family. Years later I saw Josse on Facebook we spoke and I asked her did she send my mom a letter explains how they were related. She told me yes. Later realized I knew Grace. Such a small world I was able to meet Jose at 46 street church Confirmation Reunion. I will miss her posts May she RIP. Florence Andersen Brady
