Dominic Anthony Lombardi Jr., a retired window covering installer for Lynn’s Window Coverings in Portland, Oregon and 14 year resident of Pine Bush, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday November 12, 2024. He was 86. The son of the late Dominic Anthony Lombardi Sr, and Virginia McCarthy Lombardi, he was born on November 4, 1938 in Glens Falls, NY.A Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War, Dominic served his country in the United States Airforce from 1958-1966 reaching the rank of A2C, Airman 2nd Class. He was decorated with the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. Dominic was a member of the G. Paul Bettinger Post 1308 in Pine Bush and the Church of the Infant Saviour. He was also an avid musician, golfer and fisherman. Survivors include his beloved sisters, Patricia Carluccio of Pine Bush, and Madelyn Frogner of Lincoln City, Oregon, niece, Virginia Carluccio of Glens Falls, NY, nephew, William Carluccio Jr. and his wife Maria of Westfield, NJ, niece, Maria Buckley and her husband William of Haworth, NJ, and grandniece, Ava Buckley of Haworth, NJ, and his special beloved friend, Toni McConnell. Dominic is predeceased by his brother, William Lombardi, and sister, Anne Lombardi.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday November 18, 2024 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour, 22 Holland Ave, Pine Bush NY. Burial will take place with full Military Honors in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen NY. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Church of the Infant Saviour, 22 Holland Ave Pine Bush, NY or to the G. Paul Bettinger Post 1308, PO Box 651 Pine Bush NY 12566.
