The son of the late Antonio Ferreira Da Cruz and Maria Rosa Tome Ferreira, he was born on May 4, 1970 in Portugal. Joao was a hard worker and a good friend, willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Survivors include his sister, Rosa Maria Da Cruz of Yonkers, NY, his brothers, Arnaldo Da Cruz of Yonkers, NY, Antonio C. Da Cruz and his wife, Lucia of Pine Bush, NY. nieces, Sonia Da Cruz of Wurtsboro, NY and Sandra Duarte of Yonkers, NY, nephews, Beto Duarte of Yonkers, NY, along with many other aunts, uncles cousins, and friends in Portugal. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 1, 2024 from 2-5pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY. Funeral services will be offered on Monday December 2, 2024 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery.
