 Katherine “Kathy” A. Maurin of Pine Bush, NY peacefully passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 65 years old. Kathy was born in Goshen, NY on March 8, 1959 and was the beloved daughter of Walter and Eleanor Kazar. She was the loving mother to Eric and Courtney and the beloved wife of her husband Bob.

Kathy worked for many years for the New York State Police as the BCI Captain”s Secretary in Middletown, NY, retiring from that position when her son, Eric was born. She loved her job. She also worked for many years at the Church of the Infant Savior in Pine Bush, NY and took great pride in maintaining the religious education building. She had many friends from church that cherished her friendship.

Kathy’s love for her children was immeasurable. She always enjoyed cheering on her children at all the school sporting events throughout the years and never missed a soccer game, track event or the many other school events throughout the years. She was a great mom and homemaker.

One of Kathy’s passions was playing BINGO. She enjoyed being with her friends, sharing the fun and excitement of the game. Kathy always loved to travel. Over the years traveling as a family to many places across the USA as well as England, Scotland, Iceland and Ireland. Her memory will never be forgotten. She will always be in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.

Visitation will take place 2pm - 5pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY 12566. Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday December 4, 2024 at 10am  the Church of the Infant Saviour. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY would be appreciated.
