Irene Lynn La Bate Vanatta

Irene Lynn La Bate Vanatta, a retired Registered Nurse who worked in the Neonatal Unit at New York Hospital, passed away on Sunday January 5, 2025 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. She was 72. The daughter of the late Anthony La Bate and Grace Amos, she was born on October 16, 1952 in Middletown, NY. Lynn cherished memories from her early years with cousins on Hamilton’s General store porch, and Robert’s Italian restaurant enjoying the best pizza ever in Burlingham, N.Y. She is survived by one aunt, multiple loving cousins, nieces, nephews, her precious dog, Bella and is predeceased by her husband, Don Vanatta, parents Grace and Anthony La Bate and two sisters. Lynn will be missed by all. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 16, 2025 from 10am-12pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd. Pine Bush NY.
