Rose M. Galieri, an Administrative Assistant for 35 yrs for the
NYC Dept of Corrections and lifelong resident of the area, passed
away on Thursday August 23, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center
in Middletown, NY. She was 82. The daughter of the late
John Galieri and Angela Marie Pirozzi, she was born on April 1,
1930 in Pine Bush, NY. Rose was a member of the Church of the
Infant Saviour, the Walden Senior Citizens and the trip coordinator
for several years, Board member for the Office of the Aging,
Secretary for the Grand Jury Association of Orange County, member
of the Republican Committee in the Town of Crawford and was
involved also with the Town and School Board, Vice President of
Local 917 CSEA Retirees Association of Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan
Counties, and Past President of CSEA Region 3. Survivors
include her sons; John Buckridge and his wife Pearl of Wallkill,
and Joseph Antignani of Vermont, daughter in law, Pamela Buckridge
of Pine Bush, sister; Josephine Beves of Manhattan , 7
grandchildren; Michael, Leeann, Brian, Rebecca, Scott, John Jr. and
Joshua, 9 great grandchildren; Steve, Nicole, Sarah, Kiatlyn, JP,
Mikey, Stephen, Natalie, and Jameson. Rose is further survived by
her beloved pet, Bella, and is predeceased by her son, Frank
Buckridge, daughter, Marie Cooklish, brothers, Constantine and
Andrew Galieri, and sister, Filomena Galieri. Visitation will
be held on Monday August 27, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the
William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush,
NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday
August 28, 2012 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour with
Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Burial will take place in
New Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation
