View/Sign Guestbook -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stanley Gomes Walker Valley, NY Stanley Gomes, a longtime resident of the area and retired owner of Valley Laundromat in Pine Bush, NY, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, in Middletown. He was 86. The son of John and Mary Gomes, he was born February 15, 1922 in Georgetown, Guyana, South America. He is the widower of Marion Blaha Gomes. He was a member of Wawarsing Rod and Gun Club. A family statement reads: "The family of Stanley Gomes would like to thank the staff at St. Teresa's Nursing Home for the kindness given to their father." He is survived by three daughters: Sandra Knowles of Texas, Candice Fox of Walker Valley, NY, and Eileen Budd of Walker Valley, NY; seven grandchildren: Tate Knowles, Tyler Fox, Corey Fox, Paige Fox, Howard Budd, Brandi Budd, Sabrina Sheridan; one sister, Pauline Phillips of New York. In addition to his wife, Marion Gomes,he is predeceased by his brother, Frank Gomes. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Walker Valley Cemetery, Walker Valley, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Walker Valley Fire Dept., PO Box 370, Walker Valley, NY 12588. Arrangements by William M.
