Edith Mae Hamilton Pine Bush, NY Edith Hamilton a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 28, 2010 at her home. She was 84. The daughter of the late Ernest and Agnes Vanvlack Tuthill, Edith was born on September 12, 1926 in Newburgh, NY. Edith was married to the late Irving Hamilton Sr, who predeceased her on November 18, 1988. Edith was a member of St. Georges Church in Newburgh, NY and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Newburgh NY for many years holding various titles. Edith was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed visits with family and using her computer to keep in contact with family. We loved her and will miss her. Edith is survived by her two children, Irving Hamilton Jr, and his wife Susan of Wurtsboro and Sharon Hamilton Farrell and her husband James of the Town of Newburgh, grandchildren; James Farrell Jr, Michael Farrell, Brian Farrell, Juliana Farrell, Dean Scaglione, and Vinny Scaglione, great grandchildren; Douglas Farrell, Kelsey Farrell, Andrea Farrell, Victoria Farrell, Dina Scaglione, Emma Scaglione, Anthony Scaglione, Vinny Scaglione Jr. and Ashley Scaglione. Edith is further survived by several nieces and nephews and is predeceased by her brothers, Ernest Tuthill, and Bernard Tuthill, sisters, Evelyn Canfield, Shirley Hannigan and Joyce Morgan. Visitation will take place on Sunday January 2, 2011 from 2:00-5:00pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham RD Pine Bush NY. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 3, 2011 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor, NY Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. Pine Bush, NY www.wmgaganfuneralhome.com
