William A. Hay a retired car salesman and lifetime resident of the area passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at home. He was 70. The son of the late William Hay and Dorothy Friedrichman Hay, William was born on March 11, 1939 in Bronx, NY. A family statement reads: Dad was a comedian. He loved fishing, antique cars and car shows, as well as music and playing his guitar. Most importantly he loved his family, especially all of his “Babahead” grandkids. William is survived by his beloved wife, Betty, at home, children William Hay Jr. of Middletown, NY, Debra Hay and fiancé Michael Hunter of Goddeffroy, NY, Cheryl Hay of Sandwich, Mass., Shelly Green and companion Lee Bradshaw of Tenn., Marjorie Hay-Weyrauch of Florida, Joanne Montanye and companion Jacob Parker of Wallkill, NY, Merrill Hay and wife Rita of Peekskill, NY, and Dorothy Fiore and husband James of Youngsville, NY. He is further survived by his sister Dorothy Conklin of Florida, 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by his beloved Aunt, Martha Kachelriess. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY, 12566. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00am at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert B.
