Melissa C. Helms
Pine Bush, NY
Melissa C. Helms, a retired retail clerk with Lloyds in
Middletown, and a lifelong resident of Bloomingburg, passed away at
home on Sunday October 28, 2012. She was 77. The
daughter of the late Robert Helms and Christine S. Robbins, she was
born on June 27, 1935 in Middletown, NY. Melissa was a member of
the MountainView United Methodist Church in Bloomingburg.
Survivors include her 4 daughters; Christine Griffin and her
husband John, Jan Whaley and her husband Tom, Melissa Dur and her
husband Mitch, and Karen Gauvin and her husband Dave, 7
grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, brothers; Robert and Eugene
Helms, sisters; Jackie Roosa, Karen Henry, and Louise Henry and
several nieces and nephews. Melissa is predeceased by her
brothers, Charles, Thomas, Donald, Neil, and Peter Helms.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday November 3, 2012 from
10am -12pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525
Burlingham Rd Pine Bush with a Memorial service will being
conducted at 12pm at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will take
place in Bloomingburg Cemetery, Bloomingburg, NY. In lieu of
flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan
Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct. Newburgh NY 12550. Arrangements
