Obituary of Henry Herzberg

Henry "Hank" Herzberg Henry "Hank" Herzberg, a longtime area resident, entered into rest on Monday, October 16, 2006 at home. He was 88. The son of John Herzberg and Clara Janke Herzberg, he was born September 7, 1918 in Astoria, Queens, N.Y. He was the widower of Helen M. Herzberg. Hank was a retired Operational Engineer, Local 825 in Middletown, N.Y. He was also a former Road Supervisor for the Town of Crawford. A veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II, Hank was also a member of the Church of the Infant Saviour in Pine Bush, and a member of the Catskill Region of Antique Car Association. A family statement reads: "Hank was a beloved husband, Father and grandfather. As per his wishes, services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family." Survivors include his beloved daughter, Dolores Holmes and her husband, Robert of Montgomery; his loving granddaughters, Vicki Holmes of Montgomery, and Alicia Holmes of Tabor City, N.C.
