Obituary of Paul Huba

Paul Huba Montgomery, NY Paul Huba of Montgomery, NY, a retired Fireman and Crew Chief with The West Point Military Academy Fire Department passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side on Thursday April 10, 2008 at his home. He was 75. The son of the late Andrew Huba and Mary Pollak Huba, he was born on June 6, 1932 in NYC. A Veteran of the US Airforce, Paul served his country during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Kentucky Rifle Association, Beaver Brook Rod and Gun Club, and the Searsville Sporstman Rod and Gun Club. A family statement reads:” Dad was a devoted father and good friend to many. He was extremely proud of his career as a professional fireman and always felt a band toward his firematic brothers. He loved nature and was an avid fisherman and hunter, but his passion for history brought him great pleasure as he searched for many wonderful treasures that he collected and held so dear. He was a loyal friend and trusted advisor to Roberson’s Auctions for over 30 years. His absence will be felt by many.” Survivors include his loving children’s mother, Jacqueline Kelder, and their children Kristine, Karen, Karol, David, James, Michael and Richard. Loving step children; Jean Marie, Diana, Jackie, and David and their mother Carol Cook Huba. Many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 1 loving sister Dorothy Short. He was predeceased by his brother Andy Huber. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday April 14, 2008 from 4-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. Cremation was at the privacy and convenience of the family.
