Mae Humphrey a retired retail clerk for Pine Bush Pharmacy and a
longtime resident of the area passed away on Saturday October 8,
2011 at Valley View Nursing Center in Goshen. She was 88. The
daughter of the late Arthur Hanson and May Ellis Hanson, she was
born on March 16, 1923 in Fort Lee, NJ. Mae was a member of the
MountainView United Methodist Church in Pine Bush. Survivors
include her children, Betty Robertson and her husband Jim, John
Humphrey and his wife Cathy and Jim Humphrey and his wife Phyllis,
all of Pine Bush, her 9 grandchildren, and 11 great
grandchildren. Mae is further survived by several nieces and
nephews and is predeceased by her husband Howard Humphrey, son,
Thomas Humphrey, brother, Robert Hanson, and her sisters, Helen
Stilwell and Charlotte Jones. Visitation will be held on
Friday October 14, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the William M. Gagan
Funeral Home 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. Services will be
conducted at 8pm at the funeral home during the visitation.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory. Burial of
ashes will be at a later date in New Prospect Cemetery.
