Jeffery Joseph Kania of Wallkill, NY entered into rest with his family by his side on Thursday April 30, 2009 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, after a long illness. He was 43. He was born on July 19, 1965 to Joe and Virginia Kania of Bullville, NY. Along with his parents, Jeff is survived by his devoted Fiancée, Debbie Froehlich of Montgomery, NY his daughters Olivia and Danica Kania, and his son Logan Kania all of Wallkill, his sister Valerie Green and her companion John Miller of Port Jervis, his nephew, Jonathan Green and nieces, Layla and Clarice Miller, all of Port Jervis. Jeff is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A family statement reads “Jeff will always be remembered for his unique personality, his wacky sense of humor, his loyalty and generosity to his family and friends, and his love for his children. He will be greatly missed.” Visitation will be held on Sunday May 3, 2009 from 2:00-6:00pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc, 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 4, 2009 at 10:00am at St. Paul’s RC Church in Bullville, NY. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh. Memorial contributions can be made in Jeff’s name to the following: St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942 or to Make a Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley, The Wish House, 832 South Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591-6602.
