Robert T. Akers a Heavy Equipment Operator for the NYS Thruway
Authority, and 5yr resident of the area, passed away on Sunday
September 11, 2011 in at Westchester Medical Center. He was
47. The son of the late Myers Akers and Lillian Corter Akers,
he was born on October 20, 1963 in Suffern, NY. Survivors
include his wife Vivian at home, 3 daughters; Alyson, Melissa and
Samantha Akers all of Pine Bush, brothers; Manny and Roger Akers, 2
nieces; Cassandra Johns, and Elaine Akers, 2 nephews; Ryan Johns,
and Sean Akers. He is predeceased by his brother Gregory
Akers. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday
September 15, 2011 at 11:00am at the Walker Valley Cemetery, 3626
