Obituary of Deanna Basel

Deanna Basel Walker Valley, NY Deanna Base, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday March 21, 2013. She was 74. The daughter of the late Adolph Hennig and Elsie Addicks Hennig, she was born on October 25, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. Deanna was an avid quilter, devoted wife and mother. She worked at Middletown Footwear, and was a dental assistant for Dr. Stu Feuer in Pine Bush. Deanna was also a member of the Country Quilters Guild and loved reading and traveling. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Frank R. Basel at home, children; Eric Basel of Surry, VA, Gretchen Breland and her husband Terry of Gulfport, MS, and Andy Basel and his wife Barbara of Pine Bush, grandchildren; Brandon Cagley of Georgetown, TX and Matthew Cagley of Gulfport, MS, brother; Ernie Hennig of Jeffersonville. Cremation was private and at the convenience of the family. Graveside services and burial of ashes will take place on April 3, 2013 at 11:30am at the Walker Valley Cemetery, Walker Valley, NY.
