Obituary of Georgia L. King

Georgia L. King Pine Bush, NY Georgia L. King, a lifelong resident of the area, and owner of Poppies Pizza in Pine Bush, passed away on Monday January 21, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 67. The daughter of the late Robert B. Whitman and Marie Thorry, she was born on February 20, 1945 in Union City, NJ. Georgia was a member of the Church of the Infant Saviour, the Pine Bush Ambulance Corp. , she worked for June Shepard Real Estate, Owner of Walker Valley and Pine Bush Grocery, and the Cobblestone. Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Erwin "Butch" King at home; children; Russell Futrell Sr. and wife Adrienne,& Richard Futrell and wife Susan, grandchildren; Russell Jr., Matthew, Zachary, Kyle and Konner Futrell. She is further survived by her step children; Frank and Virginia King, her, sister in law Carol Whitman, niece; Sherry Giamichele, nephew Robert Whitman, and many special friends, and cousins. Georgia was predeceased by her brother, Robert Whitman. A sincere gratitude to the nursing staff and respiratory staff at ORMC ICU. Visitation will be held on Friday January 25, 2013 from 2-4 &7-9 at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd, Pine Bush. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday January 26, 2013at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
