Carolyn E. Conklin, a 35 year resident of the area, passed away on Monday April 5, 2010 at home, surrounded by family and friends. She was 70. Born December 19, 1939 in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Bergen and Elizabeth Oberhuber Bergen. Mrs. Conklin was a retired Clerical Clerk for the Frank Jannotti Insurance Company in New Windsor. Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband Steven J. Conklin at home, two sons, Steven Conklin Jr. and his wife Karen and Bill Conklin and his wife Barbara, Grandchildren, Nichole Conklin and boyfriend Robert, Leslie Conklin and boyfriend Sal, Steven Conklin, Billy Conklin, and Jessie Leal and husband Jay, her Great Grandchildren, Tyler Conklin-Woodruff, and Raiden Leal, one sister Linda DiTommaso and her husband Fran, brother-in-law Robert Conklin and his wife Dawn, as well as several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to niece Linda Conklin and nephew Gene Conklin for the special care they gave to their Aunt. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 8, 2010 from 5 to 8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc, 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY 12566. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday April 9, 2010 at 11:00am at St. Anthony’s R.C. Church in Nanuet, NY.
