Margaret "Max" Lay Margaret "Max" Lay, passed away on Sat. March 11, 2006 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, Fla. She was 60. Daughter of Charles and Catherine Hudson, Max is survived by her husband Duncan of Pine Bush; two daughters, Dawn of Sedona, Ariz. and Michelle and husband Donald of Accord; two sisters, Dorothy Fagan and husband Tom, Carole Wipple and husband Frank; along with many nephews and nieces. Max was born in Brooklyn on October 22, 1945 and moved to Pine Bush 12 years later. She also loved her Florida home and became a resident there. Max was a retired graphic artist for the Times Herald Record. She was a warm and loving wife, mother and an accomplished gourmet cook who loved to entertain. Max was especially good at making people laugh and have a good time. She had a beautiful smile and many friends who loved and cherished her. Max and her daughter, Dawn were co-founders of the Pine Bush UFO Group. She was active in 4H when her daughters were young and she was a formidable founding member of her Floridian neighborhood's poker group. She was a member of both the Elks and American Legion Auxiliary. She was Duncan's favorite fishing partner. All who loved her are welcome to her memorial service at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush on Thursday, March 16 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery, Pine Bush.
