George J. Marcinkowski, a life long resident of the area passed
away on Thursday March 20, 2014 at Montgomery Nursing Home.
He was 88. The son of the late George Marcinkowski and Dora Appley
Marcinkowski he was born on September 22, 1925 in Wallkill,
NY. A Veteran of WWII George served his country by serving in
the Unite States Navy. George was a lifetime member of Wallkill Rod
& Gun Club, Remington Sportman Club, Dwaarkill Rod & Gun
Club, Tailfeathers Preserve and life member of Wallkill Fire Dept.
Survivors include his daughter, Gail Evans and her husband Chris of
Pine Bush, granddaughter; Sandy Blonde and her husband Jesse of
Pine Bush, great grandchildren; Nick, Tim, and Emily Blonde and
several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his
sister, Dorothy Huggler and his son, Paul Marcinkowski. Our family
would like to thank his special friend, TC, and the staff of
Montgomery Nursing Home, especially Flo, Crystal, Nick, Beth and
all the rest of the caring and loving nurses, aides and support
staff who made this past year a happy one for him. You were
his family also. We appreciate your kindness and we know he
did too. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 25, 2014 from
4-7pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd
Pine Bush NY. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday
March 26, 2014 at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Robert
Hewitt officiating. Burial will take place at St. Charles
Cemetery in Gardiner. In lieu of flowers please make a
donation to The Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corps PO Box 221
Wallkill, NY 12589 or to the Pine Bush Volunteer Ambulance Corp. PO
Box 407 Pine Bush, NY 12566. Arrangements entrusted to the
