Peter M. Mercurio Pine Bush, NY Peter M. Mercurio a retired Road Driver for Yellow Freight and longtime resident of the area passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Center in NYC. He was 62. The son of the late Ignatius Mercurio and Filomena Cicale Mercurio, he was born on October 28, 1948 in Manhattan. Peter served his country during the Vietnam Era by enlisting in the US Army Reserves. He was a member of the Road Drivers Retiree Club, and was an accomplished woodworker, owning his own shop, Valley Woodworking in Walker Valley. Survivors include his wife Denise at home, 2 daughters; Jennifer Gilbert and her husband Danny of Fishkill, and Melissa Yomazzo and her husband Mark of CT, 3 stepdaughters; Kerry, Susan, and Laura, 3 grandchildren; Corinne, Danny, and Sophia, 1 step granddaughter; Bailey, sister; Marie DelGrosso of Florida, nieces; Marie, Dana, Lisa, and Nancy, nephews; Sonny and Joe, and his beloved dog; Honey. Peter is predeceased by his brother, Dominic Mercurio. Visitation will held on Thursday March 3, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd, Pine Bush NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday March 4, 2011 at 11:00am at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Cremation will be at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY. Memorial contributions can be made to a Local Food Pantry. Arrangements entrusted to the William M.
