Obituary of Terence Lee Murray

Terence Lee "Terry" Murray Pine Bush, NY Terence Lee "Terry" Murray entered into rest unexpectedly on Saturday, January 24, in Walden. He was 47. He was a lifelong resident of the area, born in Middletown, NY to Edward and Lorraine Murray. He graduated from Minisink Valley High School, and entered the U.S. Navy soon after. He served out of Mirimar California and on the The U.S.S. Coral Sea. He was an employee of Blue Print Carpentry under friend and co-worker Rod Eddie as a project manager and foreman. He was a gifted craftsman and took great pride in his work. Terry was a devoted husband, son, brother and father. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon at home; his daughters, Sarah Murray, Jennifer Murray, and Amanda Murray, all at home; a step daughter, Missy LaGrange and her husband, Mark of Cuddebackville; his mother, Lorraine Murray of Middletown; father, Edward F. Murray and his wife, Emily, also of Middletown. His siblings are: Edward J. Murray and his wife, Joy of Chesapeake, VA; sisters, Bonnie Murray and her companion, Aubrey Cariyle of Sykesville, MD, Patricia Ernst and her husband, John of Mt. Hope, NY, and Lisa Holvey and her husband, James of Pine Bush, NY. Terry was also the proud uncle of six nephews and three nieces. His beloved dog, Buster also survives. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Geraldine Martine and Donald Murray; maternal grandparents, Myrtle Smith Dean and Lester Smith. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, Inc., 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 29, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt officiating. Burial will take place in O.C.
