Genevieve "Tiny" Notarnicola September 9, 1943 -May 7, 2015 Barefoot Bay, Florida Formerly of Pine Bush, NY Genevieve Notarnicola, Tiny as she was known, passed away in the loving home she created surrounded by family and beloved friends on May 7, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was 71. The daughter of the late Lloyd Greer and Genevieve "Gene" Kaminski Greer, she was born on September 9, 1943 in Walker Valley, NY. Tiny was a former Sunday School teacher at the Walker Valley Methodist Church, one of the founders of the Shawangunk Snowmobile and Rescue Club as well as a safety Instructor. She was a volunteer for the Bernard County Meals on Wheels program, and a true inspiration to other cancer survivors. Tiny considered crocheting her therapy and made beautiful blankets which many of us proudly possess. She and her husband Al owned the 1776 Colonial Inn Restaurant in Pine Bush for 38 years. She considered her employees and many customers part of her family. Her greatest achievement was being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife and friend. Survivors include her husband, Al Notarnicola, her children, Lori Torchio and her husband Adam of Pine Bush, John L. Scott and partner Pierre Pham of Los Angeles, CA, Greer Scott and her partner Ondrea Sharp of Walker Valley, Lori Middaugh and husband Roy of Slatington, PA, Jodi Notarnicola and husband Bart Panesa of New Paltz. Grandchildren, Rebecca G. Manpel and fiancé George Watson of Circleville, Nicole R. Torchio and partner Orlando Sanchez of Milford, PA, Brittaney Torchio of Pine Bush, Darien Middaugh of Camp Lejeune, NC and Alexis Middaugh of Slatington, PA. Great Grandson, Logan A. Watson of Circleville, sister, Prisilla "Bun" Haskin of Walker Valley, brother, Lloyd Greer of Greenfield Park, sister in law Mary Greer of Walker Valley. Beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and an enormous amount of friends. Tiny is predeceased by her brother, Allen "King" Greer and sister in law Carol Greer. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Health First Cancer Treatment Center and Holmes Hospital in Melbourne FL for their love and care during her battle. A special thank you to Dr. Joseph McClure and Dr. Arvil Dhople of Health First Cancer Treatment Center. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. As per Tiny's wishes, there will be no visitation. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Cremation was handled by Davis Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Melbourne, FL.
