George Benny Pedersen

Formerly of BayRidge, NY
George B. Pedersen, a retired Block Operator for the Long Island
Railroad, and 9 year resident of the area, passed away on Monday
March 21, 2011 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.
He was 76. The son of the late Peder Pedersen and Solveig
Reisolt Pedersen, he was born on November 3,1934 in Brooklyn,
NY. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Rosalie, his
daughter; Karen Pedersen Mavica of Pine Bush, his son; Jeffery
Pedersen of Pine Bush, NY, 3 grandchildren; Jennifer Rivera and her
husband Jahmel, Nicole Pedersen, and Erik Jeffery Pedersen, 1
brother; Stanley Pedersen of WI. George is further survived
by several nieces and nephews, and is predeceased by his daughter,
Susan Pedersen Matson, and his son in law, John Mavica.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 25, 2011 from 6-9pm at the
William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham RD Pine Bush,
NY. A service will be conducted during the visitation.
Cremation will be at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY.
