Obituary of Francis C. Pereira

Francis C. Pereira Bloomingburg, NY Francis C. Pereira, a Machine Mechanic for Hydro Aluminum in Ellenville, NY and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2011 at the James Peters VA Medical Hospital, Bronx NY. He was 63. The son of the late William Pereira and Ruth Muth Pereira, he was born on January 30, 1947 in Bronx, NY. A Veteran of the USMC, Francis served his country from 1966-1970. A family statement reads "Francis was a man who gave more joy and unconditional love to the people in his life than anyone could ever imagine. The type of love that will live on through the lives he touched every day. Departing from this earth he's leaving behind an amazing wife, 3 adoring children, loving grandchildren and one on the way and also 1 sweet great grandson. Now he is up in heaven watching over us every second. The footprints he left on our hearts will never fade. Survivors include his wife JoAnne at home, his children, Lorraine Giammarco and her husband Pat of Wallkill, Keith Pereira of Monroe, and Steven Pereira of Cuddebackville, 1 brother William Pereira and his wife Norie of NJ, 3 sisters Ruth Barone, Louise Pereira, and Cindy Schlesinger and her husband Paul, all of NJ. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Francis is predeceased by his brothers Robert and Kenneth Pereira. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday January 15, 2011 from 10:00am -1:00pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham RD, Pine Bush, NY. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00pm at the Funeral Home. Burial of ashes will take place at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY with Full Military Honors.
