Mary Platt, a 40 year resident of Pine Bush, and a retired Assistant Buyer for JC Penny in NYC, passed away peacefully at Somerford Place Assisted Living in Frederick Maryland on April 8, 2010. She was 84. The daughter of the late Fidelo Santos and Ines Pereira Santos, she was born on May 26, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY Survivors include her son Edward Platt, her four granddaughters, Colleen Rourk, Dawn Platt, Victoria Platt, and Megan Platt. She is further survived by her great grandchildren, Midori, Carina and Amelia Rourk, and Anthony Genovese, Layla Larrabee and Ty’ana Williams. Mary is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Edward J. Platt. Visitation will take place on Tuesday April 13, 2010 from 4-7pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 10:00am at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr.
