Paul E. Pohlman Bloomingburg, NY Paul E. Pohlman, a retired Carpenter for Camp LaGuardia in NYC and 39 year resident of the area passed away on Monday January 5, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. He was 90. The son of the late John E. Pohlman and Anna Overbaugh Pohlman, he was born on May 21, 1924 in McSherrystown, PA. A Veteran of WWII, Paul received the rank of Corporal and served his country in the US Army/Airforce as an Airplane Engine Mechanic. Survivors include his children; Paul E. Pohlman II and his wife Lorraine of Westlake Village, California, Jean Bailey and Ken Pointek of Swanton, MD, and Irene Jurgens and her husband Donald of Lindenhurst, NY. 7 grandchildren; Craig, Brian, and Daniel Bailey; Gregory and Diane Jurgens; Christine Trevaskis, and Alison Pohlman, 8 great grandchildren brother; Claire (Dick) Pohlman, sister; Elaine Farrell and husband John. Paul is further survived by many nieces and nephews and is predeceased by his wife Alice Pohlman and his brother Robert Pohlman. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 8, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Pine Bush, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday January 9, 2015 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr. George officiating. Burial will take place in Bloomingburg Cemetery.
