Obituary of Nancy L. Poulos Drevitson

Nancy L. Poulos Drevitson August 6, 1954 - January 26, 2015 Warwick, NY Nancy L. Poulos Drevitson, a 20+ year resident of Warwick, NY, passed away on January 26, 2015 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 60 years old. Born on August 6, 1954, in Port Jefferson, NY, Nancy was the daughter of the late Steve and Ena Poulos. She was married to Dana R. Drevitson. Nancy worked as Vice President, Sales for Kerry Flavor and Fragrance Ingredients, as well as President and Women of the Year (1999) for the WFFC (Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce.) After working almost 30 years in the flavor and fragrance industry, she retired, yet remained active in numerous ways. For one, she became a certified Master Gardener through the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County, and applied her skills to making our town more beautiful. She loved traveling, relaxing on the beach in Dana's hand dug chairs, attending concerts and shows, hosting friends for get-togethers, and her beloved pup Niko. Most of all she loved the simple things; cold G & T's on the deck (in green glasses), pretending to like football as much as Dana, reading, black-belt Sudoku, and taking care of her gardens and numerous houseplants. Nancy is survived by her husband, Dana R. Drevitson; her children: Dane S. Poulos Drevitson and Juliane F. Drevitson of Warwick; two sisters: Betty Poulos of Oakdale, NY and Carol Ann Lyon of East Setauket, NY; two brothers: Steven Poulos of Port Jefferson Station, NY and David Poulos of Beallsville, MD. Nancy was predeceased by her sister Karen Poulos. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 7, 2015 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at The Warwick Center- Mulder Chapel, 62 Warwick Center Road, Warwick, NY 10990. A funeral service will take place at 12noon at the chapel. Burial will follow in the family plot in Warwick Cemetery. Following interment- family and friends are invited to return to the Mulder Chapel for lunch and refreshments.
