Julius "Speed" J. Regina, a longtime resident of the area, passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2010 at Montgomery Nursing Home. He was 87. The son of the late Julius and Annie Regina, he was born on May 14, 1922 in Bitterford, Maine. Julius worked in the Maintenance Dept for Celudex Corp. in New Windsor. Julius was a member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his son Ken Regina and his wife Carolyn of Colorado, his daughter Judy Regina of Kentucky, his sister Josephine Bourre of Maine, 1 grandson, Justin Regina, and good friends Sue and Frank Jackowski of Pine Bush, and especially the gang at McDonalds in Pine Bush. Julius is predeceased by his wife Dorothy. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 9, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Rte 302 in Thompson Ridge with Pastor Robin Hogle officiating.
