Carole J. Bonney Pine Bush, NY Carole J. Bonney, a home maker and long time resident of the area passed away peacefully at her home on Monday June 9, 2014. Carole was born in Brooklyn NY and is the daughter of the late Bertha Stewart Jacobs and David H. Stewart and also her step father, the late Dewitt Jacobs. Carole was married to the love of her life, the late Michael J. Bonney who predeceased her in 2006. Carole was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 5492, a member of the Mamakating and Bloomingburg Seniors. She attended Wurtsboro School and graduated from Monticello High School. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Lisa Garvilla and her husband Richard, and her beloved son, Russell Bonney, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Carole is further survived by her nieces and nephews, her God Child, Jack Haley and his wife Toni, and also her very special friend, the sister she never had, Betty DeHaven. Carole is predeceased by her 2 children, James Scott and Michael Joseph Bonney Jr. A funeral mass will be held on Friday June 13, 2014 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Cremation will follow at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY. Interment of ashes will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro at a later date.
