Walter Sauer Walter Sauer, age 90, of Bloomingburg, N.Y. and formerly of Glendale, N.Y., entered into rest on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the Tucker Center for Cancer Care, Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown, N.Y. He was a retired Industrial Mechanic for both Kosters Bakery of Brooklyn, N.Y. and the Strick Corp. of Middletown. The son of the late Julius and Hannah Wanke Sauer, he was born May 12, 1915 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a faithful member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Middletown, N.Y. He served as Deacon and a former worker in the Treasury Dept. of the Church. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor M. Sauer (nee Mentz), brothers Julius, Jr., Harry and Martin and sister, Mary Hesse. Survivors include a daughter, Arlene Fee, and her husband, Bill, of Pine Bush. A son, Ronald Sauer, and his loving companion, Nancy, of Circleville. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Lorrie Dana, Cathy Dudley, Kenneth Fee, Kip Sauer, Karly Sauer, Kurt Sauer and Kim Hanley. He was a great-grandpa to Jared Dana and wife, Angie, Emily Dana, Matthew Dudley, Paige Sauer and Konner Sauer. "He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family and his God. He will be greatly missed." Visitation will be on Thursday, December 8, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush. Funeral service will be on Friday, December 9 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bloomingburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: La Vida Mission School, P.O.
