Thomas Scott Obituary

Thomas A. Scott Pine Bush, N.Y. The world lost a gentle man with a heart of gold Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, when Thomas A. Scott of Pine Bush succumbed to a sudden and unexpected illness at Ellenville Regional Hospital. He was 51. Thomas leaves behind a host of grateful family and friends, including his sons Brendan T. Scott and Nicholas M. Brown, and their respective partners, Carla A. Monaco and Maureen Brown. But Thomas will be missed most by Theresa A. Scott, his wife of 30 years and owner the Pampered Pet. Thomas was born May 13, 1954 in the Bronx, the youngest child of Alvin F. and Ann Tafe Scott. He was raised in Westwood, N.J., where he graduated high school in 1973. In youth, Thomas traveled the country, fishing when he could. After marrying, Thomas and Theresa moved to Montgomery, settling later in Pine Bush. Over the years, he worked numerous construction jobs throughout the New York metropolitan area. Most recently, he served as a project manager for the Lincolndale-based McNamee Construction Corp., for whom he supervised the construction of parking upgrades at the Metro-North train stations in Otisville, Ramapo and Salisbury Mills. Although he worked long hours, those who knew Thomas well will remember the last year as one of his best. It was a year spent trolling the Hudson, cruising the Caribbean and sharing laughs with loved ones and acquaintances. Thomas is survived by his brothers and sisters: Susan Scott and Alan Schoenbach, of Bethlehem, Conn.; Joseph A. and Priscilla Scott of Bethany Beach, Del.; and Gregory J. and Phyllis Scott of Logan, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush. A funeral service is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. the same day. For information or directions pleas visit our website: www.wmgaganfuneralhome.com
