John Joseph Boyle Bloomingburg, New York John Joseph Boyle passed away peacefully at home on Sunday February 22, 2009. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 27, 1936 of Irish immigrant parents, Julianna (nee Collins) and Michael Boyle. John will best be remembered for his love of family, his friends, his faith, his Irish heritage, his running, and the Brooklyn Dodgers. John also served his country with the United States Marine Corps. Educated by the Irish Christian Brothers, he was a graduate of Power Memorial High School, and Iona College. He received his MSW degree from Hunter College and worked in the Social Work field for many years. He retired from the City of New York where he worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker and ended his career in the position of Director of Camp La Guardia in Chester, NY John is survived by his loving wife, Peggy at home, his faithful children, John Boyle and his wife Kristine, his daughter Eileen Gardocki and her husband Joseph, his cherished grandchildren, Erin and Brigid Boyle, and Gavin Gardocki. John is also survived by his sister in law and brother in law, Mary Jo and Donal Murphy, niece, Kerry Anne Murphy, nephew and wife Donal and Marina Murphy, and grand nephew Declan Murphy. Also surviving is his dear cousin Maureen Dock Zanellato. He will be sadly missed by his loyal friends, Steve Conboy, Frank O’Regan, Paul Pohlman, Don Quinn, and Ray Wells. A special thanks to Fr. Kevin Gallagher, Deacon John Frohbose, and his many friends for the support and love they provided during this trying time. Visitation will be at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY on Wednesday February 25, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday February 26, 2009 at 10:00am at St. Paul’s RC Church, Rte 17k Bullville. Burial will take place in New Prospect Cemetery, Pine Bush. Memorial contributions can be made in John’s name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties Inc. 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550. Arrangements entrusted to Richard A.
