David Askey Obituary

David J. Askey David J. Askey, a self-employed tractor trailer driver and 21-year resident of the area, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at home in Bullville. He was 65. The son of Alfred C. Askey and Rose Massaro Askey, he was born Oct. 8, 1940 in White Plains. He was a member of the Mountainview United Methodist Church, Pine Bush. Survivors include his wife, Joanne Colangelo Askey at home; son, Kevin C. Askey and wife Teresa of Pine Bush; daughters, Michelle Teta and husband Derrick of Schenectady, Renee Jersey and husband Kevin of Suffern; son, Joseph P. Kaemmerlen and wife Linda of Webster; six grandchildren, Christopher, Thomas, Bret, Michael, Matthew and Joseph; one sister, Genevieve Vasquez of Sulphur Springs, Texas; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 17 from 7-9 p.m. in the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush. Funeral service will be on Friday, August 18 at 11 a.m. in the Mountainview United Methodist Church, Route 302, Pine Bush, with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Bruynswick Rural Cemetery, Wallkill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountainview United Methodist Church, PO Box 238, Pine Bush, NY 12566 or Hospice of Orange, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
