Obituary of Dorothy M. Takacs

Dorothy M. Takacs Dorothy M. Takacs, a 41-year resident of the area, died Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Arden Hill Campus in Goshen, N.Y. She was 72. The daughter of Gustav Hoffmann and Martha Muller, she was born September 22, 1935 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Dorothy was a retired Postal Clerk for Thompson Ridge Post Office. She was also a member of the German-American Social Club in Ossining, N.Y. Survivors include her loving husband, Ludwig Takacs, at home; beloved daughters, Brunhilde "Brony" Walsh of Walker Valley, and Erika Karmolinski and her husband, Darren, of Walker Valley, N.Y.; a beloved son, Ludwig "Lucky" Takacs of Bethel, N.Y.; cousins, Eleanor Greiner of Birkenfeld, Germany and Doris Henion of Huntington, N.Y.; five grandsons: Christopher, Patrick, Travis, Louis and Dylan, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home, Inc., 1525 Burlingham Rd., Pine Bush, N.Y. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 7 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
