MaryAnn Tapley MaryAnn Tapley, a retired Town Clerk for the Town of Rosendale and a longtime resident of the area, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday May 27, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. She was 67. The daughter of the late Michael W. Gagan and Mary A. O’Brien Gagan, she was born on March 30th 1941 in NYC. MaryAnn was a member and Treasurer of the Rosendale Republican Club, member and Treasurer of the Rosendale Woman’s Club, Ulster County Town Clerk and Tax Collector Association, Election Inspector for many years, and a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rosendale. In addition, MaryAnn was currently the Deputy Tax Collector, and Deputy Town Clerk for Rosendale. Survivors include her beloved children: JoAnn Smith and her husband Joseph of Midland, Michigan, Carol Bouton and her husband Clayton of Kingston and Gary Tapley and his wife Jennifer of Issaquah, Washington. 5 loving grandchildren: Clayton, Cassandra and Christopher Bouton, Collin Smith, and Jack Tapley. Loving sister Noreen Shafer and her husband Michael of The Villages, Florida, loving brother William M. Gagan and his wife Toni of Pine Bush. Loving brother in law Francis S. Stueber Jr. of Pine Bush, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. MaryAnn was predeceased by her husband Lloyd A. Tapley Jr. and her sister Patricia A. Stueber. Visitation will be held on Friday May 30, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd, Pine Bush, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday May 31, 2008 at 10:00am at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Burial will be New Prospect Cemetery.
