Marie's passing has moved me in a way I did not expect. I lost my mom to cancer 29 years ago. I watched her fight and I watched Marie fight.
Marie's battle brought back memories, but memories of strength, determination and love. She reminds me that the Lord has plans for us all. It's obvious that Marie was in our lives to inspire us to be strong in faith, hope and kindness as we go through our daily lives.
I remember her as a classmate; the way she looked when she was 18. I will remember her spirit, strong and faithful, forever.
Go rest high on that mountain my friend. Your work on earth is done.
