Annette "Annie" VanDemark
Pine Bush, NY
Annette "Annie" June VanDemark, 91 years, of Pine Bush passed
away on June 10, 2013 at her home. She was born in New Jersey on
June 4, 1922, the daughter of Herbert and Clara (Seifert) Cook. As
a member of the Mountain View Methodist Church, you could find her
every Sunday in the front pew singing hymns. A former member of the
choir, she sang with joy whenever she found opportunity. Her last
performance was at the Pine Bush Relay for Life on June 9, 2013
where she sang "You Lift Me Up." The Relay for Life had special
meaning to her and she worked hard all year raising money to help
fight for a cure. Annette worked at the Picatinny Arsenal during
WWII supporting the troops. After she was married, she was a
homemaker for much of her life, raising her children and helping to
raise her grandchildren. Her love of her family, her children and
their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was
what brought joy to her life. She also enjoyed her time with
friends at prayer meetings, weekly luncheons, bingo, and pokeno.
Over the years Annie touched the lives of all she came in contact
with. She was a devoted family member, loving friend and beautiful
person. She will be remembered and missed by many. Survivors
include her daughters, Beverly Racino and her husband Alan Racino
of Sevierville, TN, Barbara Berchtold and Andy Basel of Pine Bush,
NY, her son Chester VanDemark and his wife Barbara VanDemark of
Ellenville, NY, her son-in-law, Jimmy Berchtold and his wife Dottie
Berchtold of Pine Bush, NY, sister Charlotte Montrose, of Texas,
grandchildren Marjorie Anderson and Don Douglass, Stephani
Berchtold and husband Dennis, Donald VanDemark and wife Erin,
Johnny Berchtold and Kelly, Tina Schuller and husband Tom, Tony
Racino, Jennifer VanDemark, Amanda VanDemark, her fifteen great
grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by
her husband, Chester VanDemark, her daughter Bonnie Berchtold, and
her sisters Dorothy Palmer, and Joyce DeBiase. Visitation
