John Taylor Briwa Tillson, New York John Taylor Briwa of Tillson NY, a 19 year resident of the area, passed away suddenly at his home on Nov 8, 2006. He was 55. The son of Charles and the late Rhoda Pauline Retz Briwa, he was born on October 31, 1951 in Hudson NY. He leaves behind his father Charles of Queensbury, Brothers William and his wife Holly of Yountville, CA and Charles Briwa III and his wife Alexia of Catskill, NY. He was predeceased by his mother “Polly”. Beloved father of Taylor and Robert Briwa of Pine Bush with whom he shared and taught his love for life- “ CARPE DIEM”. John was raised and traveled in Europe, returning to New England as a young adult. A perpetual student he achieved Master Cum Laude while attending The University of Massachusetts and Cambridge, and also earned his Masters Degree at SUNY New Paltz. A history buff, John shared his enthusiasm with his students and friends at Circleville Middle School for the past 15 years. He also will be sadly missed by Ann, Uncle Tom and Mary Jo, Aunt Nan, in-laws, nieces, cousins, friends near and far, and companion Jane Ann Mc Caw. Visitation will be held on Saturday November 11, 2006 from 3-7pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd. Pine Bush, NY. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
