Obituary of Cecilia Gihr Brown

Cecilia Gihr Brown Pine Bush, NY Aunt Ceal left us to be with Our Lord on Sunday August 3, 2014 and was at peace surrounded by love in her childhood home. This incredible gift was made possible by her compassionate nephew John Kelly and his loving wife Linda. Born and raised in Pine Bush, Ceal married Clayton A. Brown in 1948. He predeceased her in 1983. The oldest and smallest of the Gihr siblings, Aunt Ceal is survived by her brother, Bill and many nieces and nephews and their offspring. Having gone ahead of her to heaven are her parents Karl Gihr and Cecilia LeMaire Gihr, brothers; Bo and Kenny, sisters; Fran Terwilliger, Ev Saracino, and Ella Kelly. We are very grateful for Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties and request in Lieu of flowers that a donation in Ceal's name be made to them. We will forever be grateful to John and Linda who lovingly brought her home and cared for her most tenderly. Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 6, 2014 from 6-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Thursday August 7, 2014 at 10am at the Church of the Infant Saviour.
