Elizabeth Buergermeister, a retired Seamstress for Master Craft Tie Co, in Pine Bush, NY and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Saturday April 3, 2010 in Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen, NY. She was 88. The daughter of the late Franz Sieh and Marie Sigmund Sieh she was born on June 29, 1921 in Czechoslovakia. Elizabeth was a member of the Church of the Infant Saviour, the Alter and Rosary Society, and Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her son Gerhard Buergermeister and his wife Martha of Malba, NY, 3 grandchildren: Anita Rivadeneyra and her husband Anthony of Connecticut, John Buergermeister and his wife Deborah of NJ, and Peter Buergermeister and his wife Angela of Whitestone, NY, 8 great grandchildren: Marc and Michelle Rivadeneyra, Erica, Jessie, Amber, Austin, David and Samantha Buergermeister. She is further survived by 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Gerhard. Visitation will take place on Wednesday April 7, 2010 from 4-7pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 8, 2010 at the Church of the Infant Saviour with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating.
