James Butcher Obituary

James C. Butcher James C. Butcher, a 25-year resident of the area and Engineer for General Mechanical Systems in Albany, N.Y., died January 28, 2006 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 84. The son of the late James William Butcher and Sarah Renehan Butcher, he was born January 21, 1922 in London, England. He was a Boy Scout Leader in Jackson Heights, Queens; president of the Jackson Heights Anglers Club; president of the Wallkill Seniors; and was a member of V.F.W. Post 962. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Angelina Phakias Butcher, at home; his two sons, Ted Inserra and his wife, Elizabeth, of Saugerties, and Michael Inserra and his wife, Marie, of South Carolina; five grandchildren: Jason, Elizabeth, Nicole, Michael, and Danielle; his cousins, Madeline Sapienza and her husband, Joseph, of Port Richey, Fla.; and one Goddaughter, Barbara Campbell of Pine Brook, N.J. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Wallkill Ambulance Corps or Shawangunk Ambulance Corps.
