Francis M. Byrne Richmond, PA Formerly of Pine Bush, NY Francis M. Byrne, a Custodial Engineer for the public schools in NYC, passed away on Saturday February 5, 2011 at the Riverside Rehab and Nursing Center in Taylor, PA. He was 67. The son of the late Malick Byrne and Patricia Verdon Byrne, he was born on July 17, 1943 in Bronx, NY. A Veteran, Francis served his county in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1965. He was an avid Golfer and Bowler, spending many years at the Hoe Bowl in Walden. Survivors include his sons; Michael Byrne and Steven Byrne of Pine Bush, his daughter; Tracy Ann Podias and her husband Nicholas of Fort Montgomery, 3 grandchildren; Paul, Timothy and Lillian, brothers; Malicky, Fred, Johnny, and Kevin Byrne, sisters; Mary Ann Reilly and Kathy Reichen, and several nieces and nephews. Francis is predeceased by his brothers, Tommy and Patrick Byrne. Visitation will take place on Wednesday February 9, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush NY. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30pm at the funeral home with Fr. Kevin Gallagher officiating. Cremation will be held at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY.
