Bryan Richard Canter, of Wurtsboro, NY, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010 as a result of a car accident. He was 25. Born on September 4, 1984, in Danbury, Ct., Bryan grew up in Pine Bush, and was a 2003 graduate of the Pine Bush High School. He was currently self-employed. A family statement reads: “Bryan loved Nirvana, nature, tye-dyed t-shirts, tattoos, pin-ball, getting into mischief, and hanging out with his friends, especially Joey and Chris who were like brothers to him. Bryan will be sorely missed by all who loved him. Our memories of him are treasures and we will keep them in our hearts forever. Love you Bryan, may you find peace, and may we find the strength to go be without you.” Bryan is survived by his parents Lori Canter of Pine Bush, and Richard Canter at home, his maternal Grandmother Marie LoSchiavo of Waterbury, CT., his paternal grandmother Sally Canter of Georgetown, KY., his sister Angie Gross, her husband Bill, and their two sons, Brady and Aric of Georgetown, Ky., sister Autum Canter, her husband Jason Burton and their son River of Baltimore, Md. Bryan is further survived by his cat “T”, as well as many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Gustave LoSchiavo and his paternal grandfather Clayton Canter. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 4-7pm at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush, NY 12566. Funeral services will take place at 7pm at the funeral home, with Father Kevin Gallagher officiating. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
