Obituary of Paul Capsis

Paul Capsis Pine Bush, NY Paul Capsis of Pine Bush, a retired Electrician for Fordham University in the Bronx and a longtime resident of the area, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at home. He was 77. The son of the late Charles Capsis and Kate Athren Capsis, he was born on July 14, 1930 in Manhattan. He was a member of the AFL CIO Local 805 at Fordham University and also the shop steward for the 805 Union. A family statement reads, "Paul was an avid Fisherman and Hunter. He spent time up in Alaska and Baffin Island fishing. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed." Survivors include his loving wife, Delia Iglesias Capsis at home; beloved daughter, Carol Capsis and her husband, Michael Parenteau of Connecticut; beloved grandchild, Joseph Parenteau; beloved brother, George Capsis and his wife, Andromache of NYC; beloved nephew, Doric Capsis and beloved niece, Athena Capsis. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Capsis, Jr. and brother, John Capsis. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh.
